Where can God use your talents?

We have two services of worship each Sunday.  Our contemporary service is at 8:15 and is led by either our youth praise band “Significant Light” or by “Those Guys.”  The 10:30 service is traditional in format utilizing our 1,700+ pipe organ, with the Chancel Choir providing special music through the school year. Both services celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.Organ Pipes and Cross
Children are very important to us at Memorial UMC, and we love to have them worship with the rest of the congregation.  We do understand that sometimes it might be helpful to their caregivers to have them looked after in the nursery during worship. Our nursery is staffed at both services of worship if you choose to utilize it.

Youth Groups meet on Sundays at the church. Our Junior High meets at 6pm and Senior High at 7pm.

Freshman-Seniors meet on Wednesdays for “Word.” Freshman and Sophomore meet at 6:45pm and Juniors and Seniors with the Wolfords at 7:30pm.

8th Graders meet on Wednesdays at the church for Confirmation at 6:15pm.

7th Graders meet on Wednesdays at the church for Mission Possible at 6:15pm.

5th & 6th Graders meet on Wednesdays at the church for CHIPs at 6:15pm.

Children are of utmost importance to us at Memorial UMC!  We have an abundance of opportunities for kids!
During the calendar school year Pre-K through 4th grade meet for Faith Weaver Friends on Wednesdays at 6:15pm.

We also have Sunday School that meets immediately after our contemporary service at 9:15am.

During the summer, Kindergarten-5th graders meet for Wednesdays with Yahweh at 10am.
All of our staff and volunteers are trained and undergo a background check before they are able to work with children or youth.

Special Services

Special services of worship are held from time to time, such as on Ash Wednesday and during Holy Week.  Of course, Christmas Eve in our beautiful sanctuary is an experience that will truly touch your soul!

Prayer is an important part of our spiritual journey, and of our ministry here at Memorial UMC. Our prayer group meets weekly to lift up our community, family, and friends in prayer.
We also are happy to share prayers during worship and via our automated prayer chain. Our prayer shawl ministry provides a tangible symbol of the warmth and love that surrounds those in need of prayer as well.  Can we pray for you?  Please let us know….just scroll down to send your request.

Every Thursday night, our church hosts a free meal for anyone who wants to attend. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. Each week a group of dedicated volunteers prepares the meal. Sometimes outside groups come and prepare the meal.  Dinner is open to anyone who wants to attend, with no questions asked, no expectations made.

We continue to look for new ways to reach out to those who may be in need of a church home.  Everyone is invited to worship, or to any church function, such as Church in the Park – featuring our 200-foot water slide!
Everyone is always welcome here.  You needn’t have particular background or body of knowledge.  We invite you to join us as we continue to learn together!
